Walks in NYC: The corner of Washington and Bank in the West Village

posted on: Thursday, January 23, 2014

Everyone who comes to NYC knows all about the High Line, the park that was created from the elevated train tracks on the west side of Manhattan. Well, the other day during my lunch time walk I noticed a building a little further down, one that clearly used to be part of the elevated tracks but that definitely isn't a park. I didn't have my camera with me that day but yesterday, I trekked through the snow and the cold down Washington to snap some photos. Yay fun!

Super cool building, right? I don't know what it is now and I'm too busy watching Veronica Mars (who else is super excited for the movie?!?!) to research it further. Have to get my tv on tonight because tomorrow is special. My man is coming HOME!! After 9 days away he's coming home to me. Just in time to dig out the car again. Ha!

  2. So much snow! Montreal is so cold these days. At least you have the great New York to keep your spirits up.
I'm new to your blog, but I love it :)

    1. Hi Alex! Oh man, thank you, I just popped over to your space... Sooooo lovely. I went to Montreal a year ago for my birthday and loved the city so. Can't even imagine Quebec in the winter though, omg.

  3. I love the photo of the snowy cobblestone street. Thank heavens they haven't paved over the stones like they've done in so many other older cities! Stay warm!
