Walks in NYC: Winter in the Meatpacking District

posted on: Monday, February 17, 2014

I know I said a while back (all of last month) that I would be back with a bang, loads of ideas and stuff happening. However, then it got cold. Like real cold. And it snowed. And then it snowed again. And again. It just doesn't seem to be stopping. And more snow tonight and tomorrow. Yay?

Over two weeks ago I went for a walk during my lunch break and snapped some photos of the cold and the ice. And guess what! Holy cow, have you all seen some of the photos of frozen Lake Michigan and such that are floating around? Crazy...

It made me think about the year I lived in Austin and there was an insane ice storm that shut down the city for a couple of days. I built a 5 inch tall snow man on the hood of my truck! And there were something like 200+ fender benders in one day. These hilarious photos of southerners trying to drive in the snow will give you a pretty good idea. Ridic...

Anyway, you know the drill, I'M READY FOR SPRING TIME! Soon enough...
