Bike rides: To the Union Square Greenmarket

posted on: Saturday, April 12, 2014

Oh MAN, I just got back from my very first bike ride of the season, across the Williamsburg bridge to the Union Square farmers' market. It is absolutely gorgeous outside, warm sun and cool breeze. Everyone in New York City is out and about and smiling. I didn't buy too much (some purple potatoes, cippolini onions and french breakfast radishes) but it was so great just to walk around. Well... maybe I kind of limped along, if I'm being honest. I didn't do jack this winter and it's going to take me a minute to readjust to a lifestyle that includes running (yep, started that this week) and biking (I WILL ride my bike more than once this summer). Ouch...

Anyway, I have to run and get ready for a wedding but i couldn't resist throwing up these shots from the market plus a couple from my ride home. Such a beautiful day!! Yay!!

  1. It does look like a wonderful day. We've had the hottest day of the year in Montreal so far, and I wasn't prepared for it - definitely wore too many layers :)
    Enjoy spring in NYC!

  2. I love these photos! Even though it's dark out right now, I can feel the sunshine! Zack + I also made it out on a bike ride this past week and it felt SO GOOD. I can't wait for more bike rides! xo, Court

    1. YES!! I swear, I think I enjoy riding bikes more now as an adult than I ever did as a kid. So much fun.
