A few weeks ago I made one of my girl friends wake up at the crack of dawn to drive upstate to go to Storm King. I'd been before ages ago but she'd never been. It was a pretty rad day, a bit overcast which made all the big ol' sculptures look even cooler if such a thing is possible. Always worth a look... I'm really into big metal art and Storm King is the ultimate in awesome sauce if you're into that. Gorgeous upstate setting, sweet paths for light hiking and rad as all get out installations. So worth the trip. Please indulge me for a minute as I just drop a load of photos in (including a little self portrait - nerrrrd alert). xo
Day Trips from NYC: Storm King

I'm currently suffering from a lack of a computer due to my busted machine being in the shop being repaired. Waiting for pay day, you know how it goes. I have some photos on my camera that need downloading, editing, some writing to do, so on and so forth but that will have to wait. In the mean time, here you go, a way overdue post.

Whoa... this place looks amazing. I had no idea about it! I want to visit so bad! Some of these sculptures are like, really really big! The giant hands look really cool. What a fun place. So, it's like a park? Very cool! Thanks for sharing these!
